The Bachelor of Criminology Bachelor of International Studies is a dual degree program that prepares students to understand and respond to the changing nature of crime, addressing the new reality of criminal activity in an increasingly connected age.
Program Description
This program is designed to give students cultural insights into their chosen country, as well as high-level language skills. Students will undertake language and cultural studies related to their language of choice, and learn about contemporary criminology, pursuing a specialized major. They will also have opportunities to undertake internships and/or international study abroad experiences.
Program Structure
In their criminology studies, students will complete nine core units, building in-depth knowledge of subjects like law, crime data, society, and Indigenous perspectives, before undertaking a research-based industry project. They will also get to choose a standard major and electives or pursue an extended major to hone their expertise.

Admissions Information
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Eligibility for admission does not guarantee an offer of a place.
Admission Requirements
- Any two units of English
- No prior language requirements for the International Studies program
- Students complete a language survey to ensure they commence their language and culture study at the appropriate level
Tuition Fees
The indicative total tuition fee for government-supported domestic students is $91,455.00.
Duration and Location
The course is offered on a five-year, full-time basis, primarily on campus, but individual subjects include aspects of asynchronous self-paced learning, synchronous online activities, collaborative learning, and activities on campus, and industry engagement via site visits and/or guest speakers.
