The Bachelor of Information Systems Bachelor of Business (BIS BBus) is a cross-faculty offering, leveraging the strengths of Information Systems and Business. This course is designed for aspiring technology managers who seek to master complex systems and drive business success.


Course Description

This course is aimed at meeting the emerging demands of a new generation of technology managers ready to deal with the challenges of complex systems. The Business component provides students with the knowledge, competencies, and values necessary for fulfilling an effective career in business.


Course Structure

Graduates of the course leverage the strength of Information Systems and Business to lead sustainable and resilient environmental, economic, and social change in businesses, government, community, health, non-government organisations, and more. Students are required to complete 192 credit points, comprising 96 credit points in Business and 96 credit points in Information Systems.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Eligibility for admission does not guarantee an offer of a place.

Course Fees

The indicative total tuition fee for government-supported domestic students is $72,250.00. Fees are reviewed annually and may change.

Inherent Requirements

Assumed Knowledge

HSC Mathematics Advanced and any two units of English. Mathematics Extension 1 and English Advanced are recommended.


Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who have completed equivalent subjects at a recognised tertiary education institution may be eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL) if the subjects completed are deemed by the Faculty to be equivalent to subjects in the course.
