Program Overview
The Faculty of Law at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is offering a unique opportunity for students to participate in a two-week immersive law program at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) in Guangzhou, China. The program, scheduled to take place from December 8 to 21, 2025, will provide students with an in-depth understanding of Chinese Commercial Law.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, students must meet the general eligibility criteria for short-term mobility programs. UTS Law students must enroll in International and Comparative Study in Law (76099 for undergraduate students or 78293 for JD students) and meet the prerequisites for the subject.
How to Apply
To apply, students must submit an expression of interest to the Faculty of Law, including a statement of motivation and a copy of their current academic transcript. The expression of interest (EOI) submissions will be open from August 11 to September 1, 2025. Priority will be given to students from equity backgrounds, based on academic merit and motivation.
Program Costs and Funding
The total program fee depends on the accommodation preference:
- Twin Hotel Room: $3,308
- Single Hotel Room: $4,050 This fee covers academic lectures, accommodation, transportation, meals, and an opening ceremony and farewell banquet hosted by GDUFS. Eligible students may receive up to $3,000 in scholarships.
Draft Schedule
A draft schedule for the program is provided, outlining the activities and lectures from December 8 to 21, 2025. The schedule includes visits to law firms, courts, and cultural landmarks, as well as lectures on various aspects of Chinese Commercial Law.
