EAP Program Requirements
To be eligible for the Haider Early Assurance Program, applicants must meet certain requirements, including:
- Being a current undergraduate student at the University of California, Riverside, in their third or fourth year, anticipating completion of their BA/BS degree at least two weeks before MD orientation in August 2027.
- Being a graduate of the University of California, Riverside, whose degree was completed no earlier than winter quarter 2025, and having not previously applied to any medical school.
- Completing all prerequisite courses with a cumulative Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics (BCPM) GPA equal to or greater than 3.40.
- Having invested time in community service and having been exposed to significant clinical experiences.
Program Restrictions
The Haider Early Assurance Program has several restrictions, including:
- Applicants must be an undergraduate student at the University of California, Riverside, or a recent graduate who has never previously applied to medical school.
- Applicants who previously completed or are planning to complete a bachelor's degree at another institution are not eligible to apply.
- Early Assurance Program applicants are not permitted to apply to other schools.
- The program is open to in-state residents only.
- This program is not available to students who have already applied for medical school.
- No coursework completed as part of a post-baccalaureate or graduate program will be considered as part of the application process.
- This program is not considered an accelerated graduation program.
- Applicants may apply to EAP only once.
