Aesthetic Forms of Expression with a Focus on Educational Science

The doctoral program in Aesthetic Expression with a focus on Education aims to provide a comprehensive scientific education that also prepares students for tasks in society where knowledge in aesthetic expression with a focus on education is valuable.

Program Description

Through the program, doctoral students will acquire a qualified knowledge of aesthetic forms of expression with a focus on educational science, a broad theoretical and methodological education, and the ability to conduct independent research.

Dissertation

The dissertation, which is the most extensive and important part of the doctoral student's education, aims to enable the student to critically analyze a relevant problem in aesthetic forms of expression with a focus on educational science and to independently plan, implement, and document the research in writing.

Admission

Admission to the doctoral program in Aesthetic Expressions with a Focus on Educational Sciences takes place after a special announcement. The current admission round is announced on the start page of the H—gskolan f—r scen och musik.

Employment as a Doctoral Student

When announcing positions for doctoral studies, employment as a doctoral student is also announced for the corresponding time required for the doctoral studies, i.e., four years. This means that as a doctoral student, one has a time-limited employment with a fixed salary for four years.
