Program Start
The program starts in the fall of 2025, with a study pace of 50%. The program is taught on campus, with daytime classes in G飆eborg.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a degree in teaching or preschool teaching, or an equivalent older degree. The degree must be focused on the Swedish education system, or be complemented with a Swedish teaching certificate. Additionally, applicants must have three years of verified work experience, comprising at least half-time, after receiving their degree. The work experience must be within the field of the teaching degree.
Selection Process
Selection is made through an alternative selection process, with a maximum limit of 285 higher education credits as the selection basis. The places in the program are distributed according to a percentage distribution between three different selection groups, depending on the applicant's qualifying degree.
Program Content
The program provides qualified knowledge of how to support children and students, develop the learning environment, and implement action programs and action plans together with other parties involved. The goal is to meet the different needs of children and students to contribute to an inclusive school environment.

Further Studies
Graduates who have a teaching degree of at least 180 hp have the opportunity to build on their special education degree with an additional 30 hp to obtain a master's degree in special education.

The program is conducted as a part-time campus education over three years, with 10-12 meetings per term. Between meetings, students work independently on their studies. The program includes group work, lectures, and examinations, which may be conducted using the Zoom platform.
