Elective Courses
An elective course can be chosen from within the master's programme or from other master's programmes at the Graduate School. A list of courses is made available to students each term. Lists of previous semesters' elective courses can be found on the programme page under the heading "Elective courses".
Programme Structure
During semesters one and two, students take common core courses in accounting and financial management. The first semester begins with courses that ensure all students are prepared for advanced studies in both accounting and financial management. That is, students will first take either a course in accounting or a course in corporate finance. In parallel, all students take the course Perspectives of Accounting and Financial Management, which serves to provide a theoretical basis for later courses. Then follows core subject and method courses for the first academic year.
Third Semester
During the third semester, students choose a number of elective courses within their area of interest. Students can specialize within the field of accounting and financial management or broaden their skills with elective courses from other programmes. The third semester can also be spent at one of the school's many partner universities, or at an external organization as part of the internship course.
Fourth Semester
In the fourth semester, students will write a master's thesis.
