Course Content

The course involves studying selections from the Catholic and/or post-Pauline letters in their original language, along with commentaries and/or monographs. Students delve into the letters as historical and theological documents, rhetorical texts, and sources of knowledge of social structures in the early Christ-believing movement. Special emphasis is placed on the letters as expressions of, and causes contributing to, the separation between Judaism and Christianity, as well as their role in Jewish-Christian relations today.

Prerequisites and Selection

Entry Requirements

• Degree of Bachelor or completed courses of at least 180 credits at the first cycle level, with at least 90 credits in a main field of study including a bachelor's thesis of at least 15 credits.
• Equivalent foreign education or prior knowledge according to earlier study regulations.
• Applicants must prove knowledge of English: English 5/English A or an internationally recognized test equivalent, such as TOEFL, IELTS.
• 15 HEC in biblical Greek is also required.

Selection

Selection is based on the number of credits from previous university studies, with a maximum of 165 credits.
