Introduction to the Program
The Sound and Acoustic Technology program is a multidisciplinary field of study that focuses on the phenomena of sound and vibrations. This program attracts students from around the world who are curious and ambitious about becoming experts in acoustics.
Program Focus
The program covers a wide range of topics within acoustics, from basic elements of sound propagation to advanced measurement techniques and understanding and modeling of the hearing process in humans with impaired hearing. The program includes a broad range of courses, from human hearing and reaction to sound, acoustic measurement methods, electroacoustic systems, room and building acoustics, environmental acoustics, and noise and vibration control.

Further Education
After completing the candidate program, students can pursue a 3-year PhD study, which is a research education in international top class. Students can choose between a regular PhD study or an Industrial PhD, where they are employed in a company while pursuing their PhD.
