Introduction to the Program
The Diplomingeniřr program in Food Safety and Quality is a three-and-a-half-year undergraduate degree that equips students with the competencies required to ensure the quality of our food and develop future food products.
Program Description
With a degree in Food Safety and Quality, students can contribute to ensuring that we can eat healthier food without leaving a bill for the climate. The program provides a broad education that enables students to quality-assure our food and develop future food products. Students learn about risk analysis, food safety, and quality control, as well as how to reduce energy consumption in food production and work with risk assessment and quality assurance in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Matematik A (Math A)
- Kemi B or Bioteknologi A (Chemistry B or Biotechnology A)
- Fysik B or Geovidenskab A (Physics B or Geoscience A)
- Engelsk B (English B)
Program Structure
The program consists of three years of coursework, followed by a six-month internship and a diploma project. The first year provides a foundation in mathematics, chemistry, and food technology. The second year delves deeper into chemistry, microbiology, and food production. The third year focuses on chemical food safety, innovation, process control, and quality management.
