The program in question is "Ledelse af B熳edygtigt Byggeri 2 Virksomheden," which translates to "Management of Sustainable Building 2 - The Company." This course is part of the Master's program in Sustainable Building at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
Course Description
This course focuses on corporate strategy and business development, as well as the implementation of sustainable methods in companies. It covers how businesses can best position themselves in terms of sustainability, including new business models, processes, and solutions across all parts of the organization.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the course, students will be able to:
- Identify key characteristics of an organization with a sustainable corporate strategy.
- Characterize different types of organizations in relation to their primary products and markets.
- Analyze and identify potentials and risks associated with a sustainable corporate strategy and business model.
- Identify and solve critical decision points and set significant sub-goals in the process.
- Identify, evaluate, and apply relevant management methods and tools.
- Analyze, discover, and mitigate possible barriers to the implementation and realization of a sustainable corporate strategy and business plan.
- Develop and design a sustainable and/or circular corporate strategy and business model.
- Plan, lead, and implement the design of a sustainable and/or circular corporate strategy and business model.
- Control the process and defend the strategic choices, both internally and externally.
Practical Information
- The course lasts for 6 weeks and is conducted online.
- Teaching takes place every Wednesday from 13:00-17:00.
- In addition to online teaching, students will participate in online exams (project presentations) and self-study, where they will read, research, and work on their project.
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for the course are the same as those for the Master's program in Sustainable Building, which includes:
- Having completed a relevant bachelor's or master's degree, such as in engineering, architecture, or construction.
- Having at least 2 years of relevant work experience after completing the degree.
Tuition Fee
The price for participating in the course is 16,000 Danish kroner.

The course has a course responsible and a continuing instructor from one of the four universities, as well as guest instructors with special competencies.
