Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Sciences, MS

The Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Sciences program is designed to provide students with the expertise to work with radionuclides and become qualified entry-level technologists.


About the Program

The program is the first nuclear medicine technology program in the U.S. to rise to a master's entry-level status and remains the only one in Alabama. Students receive instruction on topics such as medical radiation physics, radiation detection instrumentation, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology.
