Program Overview

The Master of Science in Anatomical Science is a program designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching anatomy at the secondary or community college level. The program is also suitable for clinical practitioners who want to transition into a more teaching-focused role.


Application Requirements

  • Application Deadline: March 1, 2025
  • GPA Requirement: 3.5 GPA (lower scores considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Test Score Requirement: No test score requirement
  • Letter of Intent/Personal Statement: Required (explaining why you want to study anatomy)
  • Transcripts: Required
  • Letters of Recommendation: Two letters required
  • Resume/CV: Required
  • Personal Statement: Required

Admission Process

  • Initial Application: Apply through the UAB Graduate School
  • Interview: Selected applicants will be invited for a virtual interview with program directors and faculty
  • Admission: Upon approval, applicants will receive an admission letter and must register for summer semester courses
