The Department of Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) offers a comprehensive range of surgical services and training programs.
Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency
The Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency is a six-year program that accepts medical students through the traditional Match process. The program provides training in general reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, aesthetic surgery, hand surgery, and microvascular surgery.

- Birmingham VA Medical Center
- UAB Hospital-Callahan Eye
- Children's of Alabama
- Training includes reconstructive surgery of traumatic and congenital defects, including craniofacial deformities, cleft lip and palate, and burn reconstruction.
