Program Overview


Production Engineering and Management

The two-year master's programme in Production Engineering and Management consists of three terms of courses and one final term dedicated to the master's degree project. Each term consists of approximately 30 ECTS credits.


Year 1

  • Mandatory courses:
    • Production Engineering - Planning and Control (MG2029) 6 credits
    • Circular Manufacturing Systems (MG2043) 6 credits
    • CAD and Other IT Tools in Industrial Processes, Extended Course (MG2128) 7 credits
    • Modelling and Simulation of Industrial Processes (MG2130) 9 credits
    • Scientific Methodology for Production Engineering (MG2100) 7 credits
    • CAD and Other IT Tools in Industrial Processes (MG2028) 6 credits
    • Manufacturing Technology and Planning (MG2104) 7 credits

Year 2

  • Degree project second cycle 30 credits must be chosen
  • Please note: At least 5 conditionally elective courses must be chosen during year 1-2.
  • The Programme has three recommended profiles:
    • Industrial IT-systems
      • Conditionally elective course for the profile: MG2038 "Digital factories" 6cr
    • Production Engineering and Management
      • Conditionally elective courses for the profile, one of:
        • MG2009 "Advanced Manufacturing Technology" 6cr
        • MG2109 "Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Extended course" 9cr
        • MG2110 "Advanced Metrology" 9cr
    • Industrial Welding (only given in Swedish)
      • Conditionally elective courses for the profile:
        • MG2013 "Advanced Welding Technology modulus 1", 6cr
        • MG2014 "Advanced Welding Technology, modulus 2", 6cr
