Program Overview


Program Overview

The Civil Engineering and Urban Management program is a double degree program offered by the School of Architecture and the Built Environment. To be awarded the degree, students must meet the following requirements:


Requirements

  • An approved Learning agreement/Study plan, with any changes during studies requiring approval by the Director of Studies for the Degree Programme in Civil Engineering and Urban Management.
  • 60 (or in a few cases 90) ECTS credits of courses on advanced level from one specialization within the Built Environment, depending on the double degree agreement with the home university.
  • One course in Theory and Methodology of Science is mandatory within the credits from one specialization.
  • 30 ECTS credits Degree project on advanced level.

Specializations

All double degree students need to follow a specialization corresponding to a Master's programme at KTH. The available specializations for the Degree Programme in Civil Engineering and Urban Management are:


  • Civil and Architectural Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure
  • Real Estate and Construction Management
  • Sustainable Urban Planning and Design
  • Transport and Geoinformation Technology

Program Details

The program is given at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment. Students must follow the specialization corresponding to a Master's programme at KTH. The program requires a combination of advanced-level courses and a degree project, with a focus on one specialization within the Built Environment.
