The course gives students the skills to lead, drive entrepreneurship, and innovate in the ever-changing healthcare industry. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation sections are taught by experts at Europe's leading universities in the field.

Course Contents

The course is divided into three distinct sections:


  • Innovation
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Leadership with an overall focus on understanding and addressing challenges and opportunities in the healthcare industry.

Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing the course, students should be able to:


  1. Define innovation ecosystems in healthcare settings including their distinguishing elements and alternative applicable approaches.
  2. Explain how innovation should be driven in healthcare, including the various methods that are applicable to the development of new products in healthcare.
  3. Identify and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities within healthcare, such as effective planning and launching of health initiatives.
  4. Explain strategies for sustainable entrepreneurship within the healthcare industry.
  5. Demonstrate understanding of, and account for, changes and challenges that have to do with leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation in healthcare organizations.
  6. Show how leadership styles and leadership strategies can be designed in the healthcare industry and be able to give examples of leadership strategies that are suitable for organizational change and innovation in healthcare.
  7. Present a project idea linked to the course's three modules innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership in oral presentations and justify and argue for the chosen idea.

Literature and Preparations

Specific Prerequisites

  • University education 120 credits in technical science, natural science, medical science, or human resources science.
  • Alternatively, 2 years of professional experience in health/medical care.
