Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program at the College of Nursing at King Saud University is one of the first programs to offer a bachelor's degree in midwifery in the Kingdom. It began in 2021. By 2025, two cohorts of students had graduated with a bachelor's degree in midwifery.

• The program is open to female students only.
• The program duration is four years (semester system) including eight levels, plus a one-year internship program.

• The program includes 40 courses, averaging 133 credit hours, equivalent to 178 actual hours.
• The total program hours over five years is 2,670 hours.
  • 13 university-required courses, including two elective courses.
  • 7 co-required courses with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  • 20 specialized courses required for the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program.
