The Applied Finance Program is designed to meet the needs of the current stage of the economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in line with the general policy drawn by the state to support the efforts of the private sector and provide its institutions with the opportunity to participate in achieving national development goals.
Program Mission
The mission of the Applied Finance Program is to prepare students to meet the professional requirements of various financial jobs in diverse sectors, including acquiring applied knowledge related to the field, developing analytical skills and technical expertise, and enabling them to diagnose financial problems and train to solve them.
Program Objectives
The objectives of the Applied Finance Program are:
- To demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles and theories of finance, banking, and economics.
- To demonstrate the ability to solve real financial problems.
- To be able to work with a team.
- To recognize how to deal with ethical and cultural aspects and the requirements of globalization.
- To understand and recognize the need to apply laws, rules, and regulations.
- To communicate and work effectively with others and form and maintain working relationships.
- To understand the financial environment and the financial system of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.
- To absorb the need and engage in continuous professional development.
- To use information technology and quantitative methods appropriately in financial teaching and research.
