Graduates in Journalism are professionals who are culturally, humanistically, and technically prepared to function as interpreters of social reality. They conceive, articulate, produce, administer, analyze, and manage a variety of media, programs, and products in any medium: press, radio, TV, and the internet.

The Bachelor's Degree in Journalism offers students a multi-specialization in journalism dealing with society, politics, culture, economics, science, and technology. Learning is based on a reflective, critical, and experimental integration, complemented by a compulsory internship period in media-related companies. The capacity for personal initiative, together with a good attitude towards teamwork, is also necessary for the successful completion of this program.


Requirements

To obtain the Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, it is a requirement to accredit communicative competence in a foreign language at level B1. Recognition will be issued during the final year by means of one of the following options:


  • Providing a certificate of attainment of level B1, in accordance with the University of Valencia's L2 Language Accreditation Equivalence Table.
  • In the specific case of the English language, obtaining a passing grade in the elective subject 'Professional English for Journalists'.
