Admission Requirements

• The course is aimed at teachers of infant, primary, and secondary education, professionals in psychology and education between 25 and 64 years old, as well as any other educational agent in childhood and adolescence.
• Eligibility criteria:
  • Be between 25 and 64 years old
  • No academic requirements

Objectives

• Know what it means to educate talent
• Examine the fundamental role of context, especially the school context, in the process of talent development
• Learn to identify the needs of the most capable students in the classroom
• Apply educational measures that favor talent promotion
• Know how school context resources can be used for talent promotion
• Generate favorable attitudes towards talent education

Learning Outcomes

The following competencies are developed:

• Relate theory and practice to classroom and school reality
• Develop critical capacity to evaluate curricular materials and different manifestations of talent
• Be able to identify students with high capacities or talent
• Be able to identify specific educational support needs of students with high capacities
• Be able to identify available resources in the school context for talent promotion
• Be able to design and implement educational interventions and strategic plans for center talent development
• Competence to develop enrichment programs that respond to the needs of students with high capacities
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support talent development in the school context
• Competence to evaluate and follow the progress of students with high capacities, adjusting interventions as necessary

• Identification and diagnosis of personal and contextual characteristics
• Reality of education is diverse, complex, and multidimensional
