Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA)

Admission Requirements

Applicants to the DBA program must have:

1. A recognized master's degree in a relevant discipline (Postgraduate Diplomas are not accepted).
2. A minimum cumulative CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
3. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT), or 79 (iBT), IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent standardized English test approved by the CAA.

Conditional Admission

Attestations & Equivalency Certificate Requirement

All students who completed graduate studies outside the UAE must obtain an equivalency certificate for their master's degree from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR).

Steps to obtain equivalency

1. Have university certificates and transcripts attested by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (or equivalent authority) in the country where the university is based.
2. Attest these documents at the UAE embassy or consulate in that same country.
3. If not possible, students may seek attestation and equivalency through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
4. Request and obtain the graduate equivalency certificate from the UAE MOHESR.

Transfer Admissions

Transfer admissions into the DBA program are not permitted.

Additional Admission Requirements:

• Successful completion of the panel interview
• A minimum of three (3) years of middle to senior managerial work experience beyond the bachelor's degree, supported by:
  • A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), and
  • an official letter of experience from the employer(s)
• Proof of successful completion or an official exemption letter from military service issued by the National & Reserve Service Authority (for male UAE nationals only).
