MSc Applied Psychology Programme

The MSc Applied Psychology programme at Middlesex University Dubai is a unique programme that offers students a range of modules, providing a taste of various applied psychological fields. The programme is designed with an emphasis on research and equips students with knowledge of theoretical and practical issues in areas of Applied Psychology.

Programme Aims

The general aim of the programme is to provide an intellectual setting within which students can both develop a fuller appreciation of substantive areas of applied psychology and improve their analytical skills. • Research: Practice and reporting (60 Credits) - Compulsory
• Research Methods in Applied Psychology-Qualitative-Term 2 (15 Credits) - Compulsory
• Research Methods in Applied Psychology-Quantitative-Term 1 (15 Credits) - Compulsory
• Research and Issues in Applied Psychology (30 Credits) - Compulsory

Entry Requirements

• Academic Requirements: Minimum second class UK honours degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate subject
• English Language Requirements:
  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)
  • TOEFL Internet-based: 79 (Reading min 18, Writing min 21, Listening min 17, Speaking min 20)
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 59 (with 59 in all components)
  • Dubai Campus MDX Internal English Test: 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)

Teaching

Classes are held at the Dubai Knowledge Park campus on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Occasional weekend or holiday sessions may also be scheduled with prior notice.
