MA Education (Leadership and Management)
The MA Education (Leadership and Management) programme is designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for effective leadership and management in education organizations. Students will examine current scholarship and ideas in the field of educational leadership and management globally and locally.
Programme Overview
- The programme aims to promote the development of criticality, synthesis, deep reflection, and scholarly activities.
- Students will apply selected leadership and management strategies to their own professional practice and to an improvement project in the environment they operate.
- Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to critically appraise key concepts, theories, principles, and challenges for effective leadership and management of educational organisations in diverse contexts.

Programme Modules
- Social Pedagogy (30 Credits) - Compulsory: This module considers education as something which individuals, groups, and societies can experience throughout their life.
- Approaches to Leadership and Management in Education (30 Credits) - Compulsory: The aim of this module is to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for effective leadership and management in education.
Programme Content
The programme will develop the knowledge and skills needed for effective leadership and management in education. Students will highlight and examine current scholarship and ideas in the field of educational leadership and management globally and locally.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum second-class honours degree (UK) or above, or overseas equivalent qualification is required.
- Currently employed or have work experience in the field of education, or professionals looking for career advancement.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS Academic: 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)
- TOEFL Internet-based: 79 (Reading min 18, Writing min 21, Listening min 17, Speaking min 20)
- Pearson PTE Academic: 59 (with 59 in all components)
- Dubai Campus MDX Internal English Test: 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)
Teaching
Classes are held at the Dubai Knowledge Park campus on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Occasional weekend or holiday sessions may also be scheduled with prior notice.

Evening classes are designed to fit around a busy lifestyle, making it possible to work during the day while pursuing your studies.
