Introduction to the BSc Honours Business Computing and Data Analytics Programme

The BSc Honours Business Computing and Data Analytics programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to align information systems with various organisational objectives. By integrating technical expertise and strategic insight, students will learn to manage data and develop robust information systems tailored to specific business challenges.

Programme Structure

The programme is taught over three years, with students attending classes Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:30pm. No classes are scheduled on Fridays between 12.00pm and 2.00pm. Occasional sessions may be scheduled over weekends or holiday periods, and students can expect plenty of notice for these.

Teaching and Learning

Students will be involved in a range of learning, teaching, and assessment approaches, including working and learning as part of small groups. The programme requires active involvement and collaboration with fellow students.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the programme include:

• Indian Secondary School Certificates / CBSE: minimum grade of 65% overall with 70% in Grade 12 Mathematics
• British A-Levels: minimum Two or Three with grades AA / BBC
• GCSE: students who have completed their GCSEs are eligible to join the International Foundation Programme
• International Baccalaureate: students must have passed the full IB Diploma with 24 28 Points
• American High School Diploma: minimum GPA of 2.8
• Tawjihiyya (Secondary School Certificate): students who have completed the Tawjihiyya will be eligible to apply for the International Foundation Programme
• Pakistani National Curriculum: completion of Year 1 at a recognised post-secondary institution
• Iranian Pre-University Certificate: minimum overall grade of 12
• Nigerian Senior School Leaving Certificate: candidates are admitted to the International Foundation Programme
• National Curriculum of the countries of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan: candidates are admitted to the International Foundation Programme
• West African GCE: candidates are admitted to the International Foundation Programme
• BTEC Level 3: BTEC Level 3 qualifications may be considered for direct entry into an undergraduate programme
• Middlesex University International Foundation Programme (IFP): successful completion of the Middlesex University International Foundation Programme
• NCUK Foundation Qualification: if you have a foundation qualification from NCUK, you can contact the admissions team directly to understand entry requirement eligibility for this programme

English Language Requirements

All programmes at Middlesex University Dubai are taught in English and applicants with previous education outside of English-speaking countries must demonstrate English language proficiency as follows:

• IELTS Academic: 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each band)
• TOEFL Internet-based: 72 (17 in listening & writing, 20 in speaking and 18 in reading)
• Pearson PTE Academic: 59 (with 59 in all components)
• Dubai Campus MDX Internal English Test: 6.0 (with 5.5 in each component)

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the programme are:

• January 2026 intake: 62,982 AED per year
• September 2026 intake: 64,557 AED per year

The programme will prepare students for a range of careers in the field of Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Database, Information Management, System Analysis and Design, and IT Project Management, as well as postgraduate study in Business Information Systems Management, Information Security Management, and Data Science.
