The MSc International Banking and Finance degree is taught within Middlesex University's Business School, where we deliver high-quality teaching and research, and provide a supportive learning environment, helping students to achieve excellent academic results.

- The Financial Modeling Institute: Middlesex University Dubai is an Academic Partner of The Financial Modeling Institute (FMI). FMI is dedicated to excellence in Financial Modeling and globally recognized certifications.
- The Certificate of Bank Treasury Risk Management (BTRM): The Certificate of Bank Treasury Risk Management (BTRM) is a six-month, part-time course designed to empower individuals working in, or intending to work in, every aspect of bank balance sheet management and asset-liability management (ALM).
Programme Modules
- Banking Regulation and Practice (30 Credits): The module aims to advance your understanding of modern banking systems and institutions, utilising economic theory and empirical evidence.
- Big Data & Financial Modelling (15 Credits): This module introduces essential econometric techniques and their application in financial modelling, utilising big data approaches.
- International Financial Markets (15 Credits): This module aims to provide a critical understanding of the nature and operation of international financial markets and their traded instruments.
- Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management (30 Credits): The ability to invest wisely is a highly sought after skill. This module provides participants with a sound grounding in the theory and practical implementation of investment analysis and portfolio management.
- International Risk Management (15 Credits): The aim of this module is to develop in students an advanced understanding of the theory and practice of financial risk management.
- Applied Econometrics (15 Credits): This module focuses on the practical application of econometric techniques and tools to address complex economic and financial issues.
- Research Methods and Dissertation (60 Credits): This module provides you with the opportunity to select your own specialised research topic in the areas of finance, banking and investment and to work under the supervision of an academic staff member.

Entry Requirements
- Academic Requirements: Graduates with a good honours degree, or an equivalent qualification, in appropriate subject are eligible to apply.
- English Language Requirements:
- IELTS Academic: 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)
- TOEFL Internet-based: 72 (Reading min 18, Writing min 21, Listening min 17, Speaking min 20)
- Pearson PTE Academic: 59 (with 59 in all components)
- Dubai Campus MDX Internal English Test: 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)
Teaching
Classes are held at our Dubai Knowledge Park campus on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Occasional weekend or holiday sessions may also be scheduled with prior notice.
