The programme consists of the following modules:

1. The UAE Data Protection Regime: Background, History and Overview
   • Gain an in-depth understanding of the history and context of UAE data protection laws, the mechanisms for enforcement and the key definitions of data protection law.
2. Rules for Processing Personal Data
   • Learn about unconsented processing, and the process for implementing personal data rules.
3. Privacy Notices and Cross Border Transfers
   • Discover what cross border transfers are and the importance of privacy notices.
4. Data Subject Rights
   • Learn about the right to obtain information and how to identify other data subject rights.
5. Security and Governance
   • Gain an understanding of the security principle, the role of a data protection officer, and how to conduct personal data protection impact assessments.

Programme Delivery

• 10 modules delivered over the course of 5 weeks taking place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm (UAE).
• Alternatively, 10 modules delivered over the course of 5 weeks taking place every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 6:30pm (UAE).
• The programme can also be offered as an in-house option for organisations.

Fees

The introductory price for the programme is 19,999. Group bookings of 2 participants or more will receive a 5% discount on each subsequent booking.
