Introduction to the University Program

The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, School of Materials Science and Optoelectronic Technology, was established in December 2008. The school has doctoral programs in materials science, materials and chemical engineering, theoretical physics, and condensed matter physics. The school's research areas focus on national major demands, with multiple research directions, including high-performance organic semiconductor materials, new two-dimensional quantum materials, new photovoltaic materials and devices, advanced energy and functional materials, nano-energy storage materials and devices, "dual-carbon" advanced materials and technology, carbon quantum materials and devices, new aerogel materials, photoelectronic materials and devices, and biomaterials.

Program Details

The school plans to hold the "2025 Excellent University Student Summer Camp" from July 11 to July 15, 2025, to promote interaction and exchange among excellent university students in materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology, and to attract and select outstanding students to continue their studies at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Activity Content

• Participate in the opening ceremony and special reports to learn about the school
• Participate in academic lectures, exchange with tutors and senior students, visit laboratories, and learn about the school's research environment and campus
• Excellent camper interviews

Application Conditions

• 2026 undergraduate students majoring in materials, physics, chemistry, biology, and related fields
• Strong interest in scientific research and potential research ability, with English proficiency at the national four-level standard
• Excellent academic performance during undergraduate studies (generally within the top 20% of the major), with priority given to those who can obtain recommended qualifications; for applicants with outstanding research achievements, the score standard can be relaxed

Qualification Review and Confirmation

• The school will review and select camper qualifications, and complete the qualification review of this summer camp registration on the registration system from July 2, 2025
• If the application is approved, please log in to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences recommended postgraduate application system for pre-admission registration before July 6, 2025, 24:00

Submission of Electronic Materials

• The following materials should be merged into a single PDF file, named "Student Name + Major + Actual Application Tutor", and sent to the specified email address before July 6, 2025, 24:00
  • "China Academy of Sciences 2025 University Student Summer Camp Application Form" generated after registration on the "Science and Education Integration Collaborative Education Action Plan" website (must be signed by the applicant)
  • Handwritten and signed "China Academy of Sciences University Recommended Exemption for Master's/Doctoral Degree Research Student Application Form"
  • Handwritten and signed "China Academy of Sciences University Reception of Recommended Exemption for Research Students Personal Resume and Statement"
  • Official transcript of university courses (with school seal)
  • Second-generation resident ID card copy
  • English level certificate copy
  • Optional: published academic papers, patents, or other original work certificates; award certificates; other reference materials
