The Cours Avancé en Stratégie Maritime (CASM) is a comprehensive program designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of key aspects related to maritime affairs.

Program Structure

The program consists of five distinct modules:

• Globalisation, Militarisation, Navalisation: This module explores the interdependent dynamics of globalization, militarization, and naval strategies, analyzing their implications on contemporary maritime security.
• Évolution des espaces maritimes: aspects juridiques et économiques: This module examines the transformations of maritime domains, highlighting legal and economic dimensions that shape maritime policies and practices.
• L'impératif de l'innovation et l'avenir des opérations navales: This module addresses emerging technologies and innovative strategies influencing the evolution of naval operations in the 21st century.
• Leadership stratégique: This module focuses on developing leadership skills essential for addressing specific challenges in naval operations.
• Expédition d'apprentissage: This module includes visits to naval bases and defense industry sites, providing practical application of concepts covered during the course.

Objectives

Through these modules, participants will acquire in-depth knowledge and essential strategic skills to navigate effectively the complexity of maritime security dynamics and leadership.

Partnerships

The program is offered in partnership with the École Navale, the French Navy, and the Ocean Institute. Instructors include academics from various institutions, experts from the defense industry, and operational officers.
