The Bachelor in Geography and Planning is a three-year program offered by Sorbonne University and taught by internationally renowned academics at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. Program Objectives

Program Structure

First Two Years
The first two years focus on the Earth's environment (relief, hydrography, and climate) and societal spaces (from culture to economy).
Third Year
The third year allows students to consolidate their skills through case studies (Asia, Middle East, and Europe) and thematic courses (risks, logistics and transport, humanitarian issues, and urban planning).
Professional Tools
Students are trained in the use and application of professional mapping and data management tools, including remote sensing, statistical data processing, and geographic information systems. A computer lab and individual tutoring sessions are available to support their learning.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to understand major territorial issues, such as the environmental impacts of societies, urban planning, sustainable development, social inequalities, economic and tourist development, and heritage protection.
Accreditation
The program follows the European ECTS system, and the degree is awarded by Sorbonne University. It is accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the United Arab Emirates.
