Master Urbanisme et Développement Innovation urbaine et Soutenabilité
The Master Urbanisme et Développement Innovation urbaine et Soutenabilité (UPD-URBIS) is designed to train practitioners in two main areas that correspond to the contemporary challenges of urban development in the Emirates and around the world: (1) the eco-sustainable approach, and (2) urban innovation and ecological planning, projects, and mobility.
Program Overview
The academic program of the Master UPD-URBIS is based on three pillars:
- The ecological transition (integration of SDGs into planning systems, urban metabolism)
- The energy transition (built environment, urban energy systems)
- The digital transition (advanced urban analysis and design)
Other current themes are addressed: well-being, pedestrian accessibility to public spaces, health, smart mobility, urban innovation, inclusion in sustainable urban projects, low-carbon construction, etc.

The program aims to:
- Form professionals in urban planning and development
- Provide students with the skills to address contemporary urban challenges
- Foster innovation and sustainability in urban planning and development
Program Structure
The program is a 2-year master's degree, with a duration of 2 years.

- Tuition fees: 166,400 AED (for 2 years)
- Accreditation: The program follows the European ECTS system and the degree is awarded by Sorbonne Université. This program is accredited by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation.
