Petroleum Engineering Program
Program Overview
The petroleum engineering program curriculum emphasizes connecting the dots between classroom lessons and real industry applications. The utmost goal is to provide undergraduates with the required hands-on knowledge and experience to qualify them to actively join the industrial domain of petroleum engineering inside and outside Egypt.
Program Objectives
The program aims to:
- Provide students with the required hands-on knowledge and experience
- Activate scientific cooperation through international firms of petroleum industries
- Establish new cooperation protocols with service companies in Egypt to provide better and longer practical training on new technologies and their practical applications
Faculty Members
The faculty members at the Department of Petroleum Engineering are highly qualified in practical skills, with most having 35+ years of practical experience in different petroleum companies.
Curriculum
The program curriculum is well-organized and supported by the Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA. The curriculum has recently been elaborated to include new courses to cooperate with the United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals (SDG) to support the petroleum industry's challenges with climate change issues.
Accreditation
The Department of Petroleum Engineering has been accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) as part of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, FUE, and is currently seeking international ABET Accreditation.
