Program Overview

Introduction to the Electronics and Communication Engineering Program

The Electronics and Communication Engineering program is a field of engineering that deals with the study and applications of power engineering, electronics, control systems, signal processing, computers, and telecommunications.

Program Structure

The student joins the Electrical Engineering department as soon as they successfully complete 34 credit hours of basic subjects in the preparatory year. The student then has to pass two years of study, equivalent to 70 credit hours, of compulsory courses designed to provide a solid background and broad knowledge in electrical engineering. At the end of the two years, the electrical engineering student has to join one of the two major specialization programs:

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering program
  • Electrical Power Engineering program where they continue their studies to attain an additional 72 credit hours.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Program Details

The Electronics and Communication Engineering program gives basic and advanced knowledge in the following domains:

  • Electromagnetic field theory
