The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering program is designed to apply engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes within the healthcare industry.

Through this program, students will learn how to apply biomedical engineering knowledge and skills to solve problems, design biomedical experiments, and use, maintain, and create medical devices and equipment. The program supports five of the nine pillars that will form the architecture of Abu Dhabi's social, political, and economic future in the healthcare sector.
Program Objectives
The objectives of the program are to produce Biomedical Engineers who will be able to:
- Demonstrate success in the biomedical engineering field with a good set of technical, problem-solving, and leadership accomplishments.
- Participate in life-long learning activities such as training, continuing education, or graduate studies.
- Contribute to the development and growth of local and global communities and uphold ethical, social, and professional responsibilities.

The following learning outcomes describe the competencies and skills that Abu Dhabi University Biomedical Engineering students will acquire by graduation:

- High School Curriculum: MOE Advance & MOE ADEK, MOE General, MOE ADEK, MOE Elite, UAE Science Streams High School, UAE Literary Streams High School, British Curriculum or IGCSE / GCE, American / Canadian, Indian/Pakistani/Bangladesh, International Baccalaureate
- Minimum Grade: 80% - 90% depending on the curriculum
- Language Proficiency: English EmSAT 1100, IELTS 5, TOEFL IBT 61, TOEFL CBT 173, ITP 500, Cambridge 154-161, IESOL/SESOL B1/B2, Pearson PTE 36-41
