How You Will Learn

You'll first attend an online tutorial introducing you to fluvial geomorphology concepts and river management. The in-person component begins with a three-day field trip where you'll participate in practical activities. You'll then continue your learning on campus in an active learning environment that includes a mix of short presentations and a range of practical learning activities.

What You Will Need

To complete the online component of this microcredential, you'll need a PC (or laptop) with reliable internet access. To participate in fieldwork and on-campus activities, you'll need to plan your trip to the Hunter Valley and our Wallumattagal Campus in North Ryde. You'll need to bring your own laptop for the duration.

Fees

The fee for this microcredential is $2,200 (including GST). Includes: All tuition and in-class workbooks. Excludes: Textbook; transport to and from Sydney; accommodation and living expenses in Sydney; and field trip accommodation, living expenses, and other transport.


Foundation Microcredential

This microcredential is best undertaken after you have the foundation geomorphology knowledge taught in the Geomorphic Analysis of Rivers microcredential. Both microcredentials can be undertaken back-to-back over a 12-day period. The field trips for both microcredentials will occur concurrently.
