Requirements
Admission Requirements
- A four-year bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
- The GRE exam is waived for Process Safety Engineering Certificate applicants.
- Applicants for admission to the Certificate program must meet the same admissions standards and requirements as other applicants for graduate study.
- Students already pursuing an MS or PhD degree in an engineering or related field at the University of Houston will be enrolled in the Certificate program simply upon request.
- Be a resident of the U.S.
Certificate Requirements
In order to meet the graduation requirements for this certificate, students must earn at least a 3.00/4.00 overall GPA.
Required Courses
The program will require students to take the following three courses (9 SCH) approved courses:
- CHEE 6379 - Safety and Reliability
- INDE 6321 - System Safety Engineering
- INDE 6337 - Human Factors Syst Dsgn
