Doctorate in Global Hospitality Leadership

The Doctorate in Global Hospitality Leadership (DGHL) is designed for professionals, executives, educators, and university administrators interested in expanding their careers in applied research in hospitality businesses, leading to career growth and acquiring opportunities related to teaching, consulting, and senior leadership.

Program Overview

The DGHL program is a 3-year, fully online professional degree designed for working professionals. Students take three courses each spring and fall semester, with the third year dedicated to their dissertation. No GRE or GMAT is required for admission.

Tuition

• $52,000 total for in-state students
• $77,000 total for out-of-state students Scholarships are available, and competitive awards can help students qualify for in-state tuition and significantly reduce their cost.

Admission Requirements

To apply for admission, students must:

• Complete an online graduate admission application
• Pay a $50 application fee for domestic applicants or $80 for international applicants
• Submit a complete résumé or curriculum vitae (CV) with a minimum of five years of management experience in the industry or three years of experience in academia
• Provide a personal statement (approximately 250 words, double-spaced) describing why they want to pursue their doctoral studies
• Submit official college transcripts from all institutions attended, with a recommended master's degree cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher
• Provide three letters of recommendation
• Submit additional required admissions documents for international applicants, including official TOEFL or IELTS scores
