Online Medical Billing and Coding Training

The Online Medical Billing and Coding Training is a 100% online course designed to prepare students for a career in medical billing and coding. This high-demand occupation involves processing patient data, including medical records and related insurance, and coding a patient's diagnosis to request payment from the patient's insurance company.

Course Objectives

The course objectives include:

• Being fully prepared to pass one of the following professional certifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam, Certified Coding Associate (CCA) exam, or Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam.
• Learning how to use the CPT Category II codes and ICD-10 codes in common medical billing and coding procedures.
• Gaining hands-on billing experience with medical billing and coding software.
• Receiving an Externship Starter Kit to help gain valuable experience in the field.
• Having the option to choose a Medical Biller standalone course for those not interested in Medical Coding.
