Introduction to teachHOUSTON

teachHOUSTON is a program committed to producing outstanding high school STEM teachers, and is a partnership of the University of Houston College of Education, College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and local school districts.

Program Details

• The program offers a range of opportunities for students, including:
  • Full scholarships for students interested in teaching in STEM
  • A nine-month program for alternative secondary STEM teaching certification with full funding available
  • The ability to keep an NSM major and get a teaching certificate, with one degree offering many options

• teachHOUSTON has received the INSIGHT into Diversity Magazine's Inspiring Programs in STEM Award
