Winter School: Theory and Practice in Transmission and Scanning Electron Microscopy

The Winter School is a practical, full-immersion course covering ultrastructural techniques that can be applied to the study of several biological subjects.

Aim

The aim of the Winter School is to introduce students to modern approaches concerning cell biology, cytochemistry, molecular biology, and ultrastructure.

Who Can Apply

The school is open to all postgraduate students, especially PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and senior researchers from universities, research institutes, clinics, and industries.

• Undergraduate students will also be welcome.

Fees

• Tuition fees: 750
• Refund Policy: The 50% of the tuition fees already paid will be refunded only to students who did not receive the visa.

Program Structure

The course will be divided into two parts:

1. A theoretical part organized in lectures covering basic and advanced techniques in transmission and scanning electron microscopy.
2. A practical part in which participants will be hosted in the laboratories and will be directly involved in the design and execution of experimental protocols regarding the main topics object of the lectures.
