Program Overview

The University of Pisa's Museo Botanico is offering an online course in botanical watercolor painting, titled "Ritratti nell'Orto." The course will be taught by Silvana Rava, an internationally renowned illustrator.

Course Details

• The course will consist of 4 lessons, held on January 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026.
• The theme of the course will be "La magia dei fiori d'inverno" (The Magic of Winter Flowers).
• The course will focus on copying subjects from photographs.

Course Levels

• Beginner-Intermediate Level: The course will cover the topic of "IL ROSSO: Camellia x vernalis 'Yuletide'" and will be held from 14:30 to 16:00.
• Advanced Level: The course will cover the topic of "Primula auricula" and will be held from 17:00 to 18:30.

Course Format

• The lessons will be held on the Zoom platform and will be recorded.
• Participants will have access to the recorded lessons and can interact with the instructor during the live sessions or at a later time using the recording.
• The instructor will provide corrections and feedback on the participants' work.

Course Fee

• The cost of the 4-lesson course is 68.

• Information about the lessons, photos, subject drawings, and required materials will be provided a few days before the start of the course.
