Program Overview


Introduction to the University Program

The University of Pisa is offering a specialized course, "Il genere a scuola e nei percorsi educanti" (Gender in School and Educational Paths), aimed at providing teachers and educators with the necessary tools to address complex issues in educational communities. This course is part of the university's efforts to promote gender equality and inclusivity.


Course Objectives

The primary objective of this course is to equip teachers and educators with theoretical and practical tools to tackle issues such as stereotypes, prejudice, sexism, and racism. The course aims to promote a culture of respect, equality, and inclusivity in educational settings.


Course Structure

The course will be held in person and will consist of six modules, each followed by a laboratory session. The modules will cover topics such as:

  • Affection and sexuality
  • Prevention and combating violence
  • Culture of rights and equal opportunities
  • Respect for differences, including those related to sexual orientation
