Introduction to the M.Sc. in Cybersecurity

The University of Pisa, founded in 1343, is amongst the top institutions in the main international rankings. The M.Sc. in Cybersecurity is held in English and requires a solid knowledge of this language (intermediate level or B2 level in the E.U. Framework for foreign languages). It also requires a solid background, high motivation, and a hard-working attitude.

Information for Enrolment

The call for admission of non-EU students is published once per year. Important note: The University of Pisa also offers a 1-year program called "Master in Cybersecurity", which is different from the "M.Sc. in Cybersecurity" (a 2-year program held in English).

Fees and Financial Support

University fees are to be paid on each academic year. They are determined by the Board of Directors on a yearly basis. In the academic year 2022/23, they ranged from € 356 to € 2,400 per year, depending on the student's country of origin.

Scholarships

Each academic year, the University of Pisa generally offers a number of scholarships to the top international students. Scholarships are awarded based on the following factors:

• CV
• Interview
• CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average)
• Country of origin of the applicant, giving priority to the less economically advantaged countries.

Other Sources of Support

Students can apply for the grant awarded by the Agenzia Regionale Diritto allo Studio Universitario (DSU). A DSU grant includes:

• Free accommodation
• Free meals at the University dining halls
• Monthly scholarship to cover extra expenses (sporting activities, books, etc.)
• Exemption from University tuition fees.
