Master's Degree in Biosafety and Food Quality

The Master's Degree in Biosafety and Food Quality is an interdisciplinary course that prepares professionals to address and manage various issues related to food production, with particular regard to controlling and safeguarding food safety and quality.

Course Description

The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the food industry, from production to transformation and conservation of food products. The program includes lectures, seminars, and practical activities in laboratories and research centers.

Graduates of the program will be able to work in various roles, including control, consulting, and training in the food industry. Their primary objective will be to ensure the healthiness, quality, and safety of food products, as well as to pursue continuous improvement in food production, taking into account aspects of sustainability and eco-compatibility.

Admission Requirements

Direct access to the program is subject to the possession of a laurea degree in certain classes, including L2 (Biotechnologies), L25 (Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and Technologies), L26 (Agri-food Sciences and Technologies), L38 (Zootechnical Sciences and Animal Production Technologies), LM 42 (Veterinary Medicine), and L13 (Biological Sciences).

Double Degree Programs

The program offers double degree options, including a double title in "Biosafety and Food Quality and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security" and a double title in "BQA and Food Processing and Safety Specialty (China)".
