Art History Master's Program
The Art History Master's Program at Queen's University is a highly competitive program that admits a limited number of students each year.
Admission Criteria
Admission is normally limited to students with an Honors B.A. degree in Art History or in a closely related discipline, with a minimum second-class standing in their undergraduate degree. Preference is given to students with an A- average overall. The Department normally recommends for admission between 10 and 12 new M.A. students each year.
Application Requirements
The application package must include the following:
- A writing sample (e.g., term paper or thesis chapter)
- A curriculum vitae
- A completed application, including a 500-600 words statement of purpose outlining the applicant's specific area(s) of research and goals
- Two current academic letters of recommendation
- Official and up-to-date transcripts from all current and previous study
- IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, or CAEL CE Scores if required
