Concurrent Education Program
Introduction
Congratulations on your acceptance to Concurrent Education at Queen's University. This unique 5-year-long program offers a comprehensive education experience. Fall Concurrent Education Orientation Week runs for the first two weekends of September and is an essential part of the "Con-Eddie" experience, creating lifelong memories.
Program Overview
Our events will allow you to orient yourself around campus and discover many university resources. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable in an academic, social, and cultural context while providing applicable resources, skills, and connections to aid your transition to post-secondary life. Incoming students can expect a warm welcome from our orientation leaders, called "Teaches," while you begin your journey at Queen's.
Orientation Activities
You will be grouped with 3 upper-year Teaches along with 15 of your peers and participate in a variety of orientation activities and events located around campus. Starting off with an Ed-Venture in B.Ed to lighting up the night with Neon Night, we offer a variety of events with decades of traditions, such as a day trip to White's Farm, and the infamous Coverall Painting, followed by semi-formal and Headphone Disco. Con-Ed Orientation has 9 events allowing you to bond with peers, upper-year mentors, and students in other faculties.
Program Structure
The Concurrent Education program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education experience, combining academic and social activities to aid in the transition to post-secondary life.
