The program fee covers tuition, books, all learning materials, career and team coaching, as well as accommodations and most meals during the in-person sessions held at Smith School of Business. In addition to the program fee, students are expected to budget approximately $5,000 to cover travel, accommodations, meals, and miscellaneous expenses while travelling for the mandatory International Elective and the Global Business Project.

A person is classified as a domestic student if they have Canadian citizenship, landed immigrant status, permanent resident status, or dual Canadian citizenship. Fees are subject to final approval of Queen's Board of Trustees and Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

Employer Sponsorship Program

The Employer Sponsorship Program allows organizations to maximize the impact of corporate sponsorship. For every dollar an organization invests in an executive's education, Smith will match that amount up to $20,000 — for a total potential contribution of up to $40,000 towards an employee's program fees. Sponsoring an employee in Smith's Executive MBA is a wise and cost-effective business decision for organizations, as they will be adding to the skill set of their most promising managers.

Financing

RBC Student Line of Credit (Domestic Students)

Smith School of Business has partnered with RBC to offer a student line of credit tailored to students' needs. Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada only are eligible. Acceptance to the program does not guarantee or imply qualification for financing.

Windmill Loans (Domestic Students)

Windmill Microlending offers low-interest career loans of up to $15,000 to skilled immigrants and refugees in Canada. Loans can help cover education and training program costs, licensing and qualifying exams, credentials assessment, and other career-related expenses. To be eligible, applicants must be Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, Protected Persons, Provincial Nominees, or Canadian Citizens. Applicants must be internationally-trained individuals seeking to work in their trained profession or apply transferable skills to a new career.

Student Loan (International)

MPOWER Financing offers loans to international students. Prodigy Finance broadens access to education for international students through study loans that don't require co-signers, collateral, or a credit history.

Personal Income Tax Treatment of Tuition Fees (Domestic Students)

Participants who pay all or part of the program fees personally are eligible to claim a tuition tax credit on the tuition portion of the fees. For more information, it is recommended to consult a professional income tax advisor.

RRSP Withdrawals (Domestic Students)

Participants and/or their spouses may be eligible to make tax-free withdrawals from their RRSPs to help fund their education. This program is considered full-time and is eligible for withdrawals under the LLP. It is recommended to contact an income tax advisor for details.
