Executive MBA Americas Program

The Executive MBA Americas is a unique program offered through a partnership between the Smith School of Business and the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. This program allows graduates to earn both a Queen's MBA and a Cornell MBA degree, becoming full-fledged alumni of both schools.

Program Details

• The program is designed for working professionals, with a classroom experience shared by Canadian and American participants.
• The curriculum is taught by outstanding professors from both Smith and Cornell.
• Graduates gain a personal network that spans North America.

Admission Criteria

• The program does not initially require applicants to write the GMAT.
• Applicants are evaluated on the depth of their work experience, academic background, and management/leadership skills.
• In some cases, the GMAT may be recommended as a way to strengthen an application file.

Program Structure

• The program starts in June each year, with one intake per year.
• The program schedule typically requires a commitment of 25 hours each week, including class times.
• Exams, projects, and assignments are divided evenly throughout the year to allow for a regular work pattern.

Global Business Project

• Participants and their teams decide on a global location for the Global Business Project.

Application Process

• The application fee is waived until acceptance into the program.
• Smith conducts a rolling admission, reviewing applications as soon as they are complete.
• Due to the limited number of spaces and popularity of the program, there is usually a waiting list, and early application is encouraged.
