Mason Open Winter Spin Clinic
The Mason Open Winter Spin Clinic will take place on December 27th, from 10am to 4pm.

Auditions
Can anyone audition?
Yes, anyone can audition as long as they pay the one-time, non-refundable audition fee. The auditions are clinic style, which means individuals will be assessed individually and in a group.
Age Requirements
To receive a contract, individuals must be 18 years of age/graduated high school but cannot be older than 25 years of age by April 1st, 2026.
Dues
- Dues are an essential part of helping the GMU Winter Guard continue to bring education, marching, and pageantry to the Northern Virginia area.
- They are used to pay for transportation, hotels, rehearsal sites, competitions, and more.
- As of now, dues have not been set for the current season, but typically range from $2,000-$2,300.
- Discounts are provided for veteran/returning members, and even more discounts for students at George Mason University.
Additional Expenses
- Members are expected to pay for parts of their uniform (performance shoes, accessories, makeup, etc).
- Members are also expected to pay for a group jacket (optional), meals, some transportation, and other miscellaneous personal expenses.
Membership Eligibility
- Membership in the GMU Winter Guard is open to Mason students, students at other colleges and universities, and individuals not enrolled in a school as long as they are within the mandated age range.
- Members from other locations are expected to commit to safely traveling back and forth from rehearsal to their home.
- Local members can provide assistance in finding housing for out-of-town members.
