Program Overview
Patriot Battalion Army ROTC
The GMU Army ROTC Mission is to commission officers to meet the Army's leadership requirements; and provide a citizenship program that motivates young people to be strong leaders and better citizens. We seek to uphold the Army Values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.
About the Program
The Army ROTC program offers numerous benefits, including:
- Scholarships: The Army ROTC offers two-, three-, and four-year scholarships to qualified students. These scholarships can cover full tuition, fees, and provide a stipend for books and other educational expenses.
- Leadership training: Army ROTC provides extensive leadership and management training that can benefit cadets in their military and civilian careers. This includes courses in military science, leadership development, and problem-solving.
- Physical fitness training: Army ROTC programs emphasize physical fitness, providing structured training programs and access to fitness facilities.
- Guaranteed job after graduation: Upon successful completion of the Army ROTC program and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army. They can serve in active duty, the Army Reserve, or the National Guard, providing job security and career opportunities.
